I am thrilled to continue my journey as the Humanities teacher in Core 4 and Core 5, which feels like home. I began my journey into education at Sonoma State University, where I earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Human Development. I then earned a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at CSUSB. Along the way, I have earned a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit, and have had the wonderful opportunity to serve as a tutor for a young man who is thriving with Autism and an Intellectual Disability (you can find his smiling face on my key chain that may or may not be holding too many keys…). I have such a deep gratitude for these unique experiences that are helping to shape who I am as an educator.
When not at DVIA, I am most likely studying for my Master’s program which begins in the fall, but am dreaming of sleeping in and traveling the world.
The Core 4/5 team is excited to work together and create a successful learning environment for our kiddos. We are here to support our students and parent educators in any way we can. If you need to reach Nancy or Rita, their e-mails are below.
Cheers to a fantastic year!
